New Matelot just docked!

I'm a current serving member of the Fleet Air Arm (Royal Navy), aka a Wafu! 8)
I've been in the Navy for thirteen year's starting my service on 707 naval air commando squadron before moving onto HMS Invincible and from there HMS Illustrious and Ark Royal.
Desperate to up load some of my pictures but have had a problem with my scanner. In the meantime I've thoughly enjoyed looking at everyone elses pictures and am really impressed with the website. It's about time there was a website like this for serving, ex serving and anyone who has an interest in the military to share photo's and memories

Welcome - a non fish head is good news!
Look forward to seeing your pictures - and I hope that you are able to answer some of the fiendishly difficult Naval quiz questions! Both my brothers served RN and both since left. Regular fish heads the pair of them and never served on anything bigger than a frigate.

Is "Fish head" a term for British sailors? In the States they're called "Swabbies" or "Squids."

Fish head is a sailor and has nothing to do with the aviation side of naval life, flying, electronics etc.
