Hello Mykultee, I live in Lincolnshire so I see a lot of ‘The Pride of Lincoln’ and more than once the Lancaster has flown over my house. The other week was Gainsborough town’s riverside festival. (I live by the River Trent) One of the highlights of the day was a fly past of the last spitfire. I didn’t have my camera and I asked one of the councillors why the fly past was not advertised. “It was to be a surprise.” He said. I will not lower the tone of the site by telling you what I said to him. After all that, welcome to the site. Like you, I’m a long service man, 25 years in the army.
