Well I said I´d get here and so I did''Monday evening finds yr boy rambling down Las Ramblas. I can see why so many people said this was their favories city'its like Paris without the attitude. Remonds me more of Florence
I love all this old stuff, when the Europeans go to build a building they don´´t mess around, no they throw everything they got on it.
Ciao all, next stop MAdrid

Dang it James,I sure do wish you'd write the title in American,or at least English.Think I mighta strained somethin tryin to interpret.Don't know much about the buildings, but I heard those folks over in Venice sure do keep their streets washed good.

Hey Hal what up
Came over from Barcelona yeterday on the Talgo train. A great town
Madrid--what can I say_ what a trip. went to <El prado today then spent the rest of the day soaking up the sun strolling the streets.
Parts still havce 5the Hemingway look. They sell the name too--theres even a bar withg a sign: Hemingway DIDNT sleep here.
Boy I like Madrid better than Paris. friendlier people and the cops are friendly PAris cops ride around in bunches of 50 and always look like theyre about to open fire. When you know the French youll understand These are a people that like to be revolting-- I mean against authority. Saw an old woman wacking on a cop car with the blue light on with her umbrella contesting the right of way--she had the walk sign and he could dam well wait.
Spaniards are much more laid back. It helps I speak the language fair to middlin--who the hell needs to speak French in CA anyway??
Anyway my old lady is looking over my shoulder so I cant write fully expressively here.
Ill break away later--on to San Sebastian in the AM--wish I could spend more time here
They have some kickASS parks here, some gorgeous stuff, I´ll post the pics when I return
I´m having trouble getting on militarychat network, tell em allI said Hi
Ciao all
James
