Well myself and viking went to the Royal armouries in Leeds today, easy to find and even more important its free admission. Lots and Lots of military exhibits from all eras although not that much 20th century stuff. Still it was a very pleasant visit and of course we finished the day off with a few pints in the pub.
ps one thing I was dissapointed with was the utter lack of military tanks, arty etc. :)
